Roughly eight years ago while in a big 5 private game park my love of photography was born.  It was with my original Sony point and shoot that I fell in love with capturing those special moments in nature – a lion pride at a kill, zebra grazing, and the baby bush pigs running after mom; the mighty strength and gentleness of an elephant.  Basically capturing what is so unique and special to Africa, that makes Africa, and southern Africa what it is. It wasn’t long after that memorable trip to the big 5 game park that I invested in my first Canon DSLR, and started on my journey of learning the ins and outs of photography. There is something new to learn each and every day, and something new to see and capture.eight

After dabbling in wildlife and nature photography for about 2 years I discovered the beauty of photographing people, their emotions and interactions with each other, and doing what they love and enjoy.  No two people are the same, and each and every one of us has our own unique beauty. To be honoured with the opportunity to capture a moment in time and history in your life to be remembered for all time is a wonderful blessing.

I am a child of Africa, and have the free spirit that comes with it.  That free spirit takes me out with my camera on the weekends, so far all my model, family and couple shoots have all been on location, out of the studio.  Someday my I will have my indoors studio, yet for now I am happy with the studio that is our world – outdoors or in your home.  It is my dream to someday be able to turn my photography into my full time “job”. There is the saying that if you do what you love you will never have to work a day in your life.  That is my ultimate goal – to do what I love – capture those special moments in time full time.

I am fortunate for have a family that supports me every step of the way, my mother and daughter being 2 of my greatest fans and critics.  And of course not forgetting my Heavenly Father and Saviour - for without Him I wouldn't have the talents that I do, and for which I give thanks on a daily basis.
